And once you are good at the task, the next challenge is to be quick, and let your last efforts be involved while developing anything. There are a lot of things in development, that repeat themselves. You will find a lot of stuff, that you will keep on repeating in your code. And, wasting time for overtime is very lame and useless. So, to prevent this, the developers use cheat sheets and other cool resources, to save your time, and lots of efforts.

The Principles of Java Application Performance Tuning

Not every application requires tuning. If an application performs as well as expected, you don't need to exert additional efforts to enhance its performance. However, it would be difficult to expect an application would reach its target performance as soon as it finishes debugging. This is when tuning is required. Regardless of the implementation language, tuning an application requires high expertise and concentration. Also, you may not use the same method for tuning a certain application to tune another application. This is because each application has its unique action and a different type of resource usage. For this reason, tuning an application requires more basic knowledge compared to the knowledge required to write an application. For example, you need knowledge on virtual machines, operating systems and computer architectures. When you focus on an application domain based on such knowledge, you can successfully tune an application.

Sometimes Java application tuning requires only changing JVM options, such as Garbage Collector, but sometimes it requires changing the application source code. Whichever method you choose, you need to monitor the process of executing the Java application first. For this reason, the issues this article will deal with are as follows:

HTML6 ideas or HTML.next

HTML6 notion, despite the fact that the HTML5 specification was planned to fully adopt and achieve the broadest possible compatibility in 2014, now began to appear ideas about how this specification of the next generation looks like – HTML.next, as it routinely referred to in the W3C-consortium.

New elements of semantics

<dеcompress>

This element is proposed for the integration of files from a ZIP-archive (ZIP format as the main, however others are possible too) directly into a web page. Advantages of this approach: web-browser access to files from ZIP, reduction of requirements for bandwidth (which is especially important for mobile platforms).

Auto-Filling Forms With jQuery And The Web Storage API

In a project I developed a few years ago there was a search form made of a main field and then many other fields to refine the search. In that project a user typically needed to perform the same search multiple times with just one or two fields changed. Filling the form again and again was a pain so we decided to help the users in quickly achieving their goal.

In this article I’ll show you how to recreate the same improvement using jQuery, jQuery.deserialize, and the Web Storage API.

The Requirements
To improve the form I mentioned in the introduction, we decided to show a list of previously performed searches, up to 20. The searches are stored into the browser using the Web Storage API. If you have a login system in place, you may want to modify the demo so that the searches are stored in a database. In my case this wasn’t an option as there wasn’t a login system.

As a developer we are sure there is absolutely no need to discuss what minification is all about. In a nutshell however, it is the process whereby you condense your script into a smaller footprint; much smaller.

Different ways to use media query in css

Media query consists of  a media type and atleast one expression that limits the stylesheet scope by using media features like width, height etc.

With @media query , we can write different css code for different media types. Like, we can write different css code for different media type like for Screen and Printer.

The simplest way to use media queries is to have a block of CSS code in the same stylesheet file. So all the CSS that is specific to mobile phones, would be defined in the following block:

Simple JavaScript OOP for C++, Java and C# Developers

Introduction

Most developers are familiar with object-oriented programming and design in languages like Java, C++ and C#. JavaScript, however, does not provide any obvious means to support this kind of object-oriented development. The result is that structured code becomes very hard to write for developers new to the world of JavaScript.
If you have written a few programs in JavaScript and wondered if it’s possible to add more structure to your programs using object-oriented strategies, this tip is for you. In this post, we will look at the use of a small JavaScript utility that allows us to structure our JavaScript programs in the form of “classes” and objects.

Background

Traditionally, object-oriented programming relies on creating classes and creating object instances from classes. This approach to OOP was pioneered by a language known as Simula and eventually became the basis of object-oriented programming in popular languages such as C++ and Java.
Object-oriented programming in JavaScript, however, comes from a different OOP paradigm known as prototype-based programming. It was first introduced by the language Self with the aim of solving some problems in class-based programming. This style of programming has no concept of classes, and being very different from the class-based style we’re usually familiar with, it requires a learning curve.
The utility presented below, however, provides a way to mimic class-based OOP in JavaScript.
